We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit on a mission to transform the Upstate of South Carolina into a nationally recognized tech hub.

Our Thesis

We believe by fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the Upstate’s tech industry, we can cultivate a thriving community that encourages innovation and growth. This, in turn, will attract more tech talent, greater capital investment, and accelerated economic growth in the region.

Our Impact

We support Meetups, conferences, and other events that foster learning, collaboration, and innovation within the Upstate tech community. We also aim to provide scholarships or subsidized tickets for individuals from underrepresented groups to promote inclusivity. Our impact can be seen in the breadth and depth of the community we support. Hack Greenville is the largest tech community in Greenville, while Upstate Women In Software Engineering supports women in tech, or looking to move into it.By supporting RefactorGVL, you’re helping to create a vibrant, connected, and diverse tech ecosystem that benefits everyone.
